Chase earned the inaugural Jaret "JT" Minami award at this past year's banquet, named after the former Toro men's soccer player who inspired the 2008 NCAA Championship run after passing away from a neurological disorder at the age of 25 that August.

Criteria includes a men's soccer player who is family oriented, athletic, stellar academically, someone with great character and personality, and who volunteers at his school and in his community who looks beyond difference in people to treat them all equally.
