Brandon Polizzi earns the Feb. 8 edition of the CSUDH Athlete of the Week award after leading the baseball team to a 3-1 record to start the 2016 season last weekend.

As the Toros swept a 3-game season opener against San Diego Christian, he was part of back-to-back walkoffs in doubleheader wins Saturday. He set up game one's win with a single to right field and scored from first on a error and in game two's victory he led off triple and scored on a single to center.

He finished the weekend going 8-for-15 at the plate with a double, a triple and four walks while scoring six times. He also had nine putouts and two assists in centerfield.
