Senior pitcher Kevin Brown was the first of three Toros taken in the Major League Amateur Draft in early June, selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 9th round as the 282nd pick overall.
A 2nd-team All-CCAA honoree, Brown missed all of 2014 and most of 2013, but rebounded strong as a senior as he sat 4th in the CCAA in wins, 7th in strikeouts, 10th in strikeouts per game and 17th in ERA after the regular season.Â
Brown's biggest game came at UC San Diego in a complete-game win to salvage one of the four games in the series, fanning nine Tritons and allowing just one earned run.
