Tallied 16 points as the Toros picked up their third-consecutive win of the year in defeating The Master's College 84-76, but it was his defensive efforts in the second half that helped set the tone which helped fend off a late Mustang charge. With TMC closing the gap, Rivers took two charges in a span of 5 minutes which stopped the Mustang's rally, allowing CSUDH to run away with the 18-point win.
