Fittingly, Romero scored the final goal of the season for the Toros soccer team in the CCAA semifinal match-up against top-seeded and No. 8 Cal Poly Pomona.

After a Bronco foul in its own box, Romero calmly drilled the penalty kick attempt to the back of the net to tally the team's only score of the game.
