Duran was instrumental as the Toros swept through the Desert Stinger tournament, collecting 3 of the team's 5 wins, posting a 1.40 ERA in the process in tossing 3 complete games.

After toughing out a 10-5 win to open the tournament, Duran settled down and boasted a perfect 0.00 ERA over the next two contests, fanning a total of 7 batters in 20.0 innings of work.

Duran also boasted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, chipping in 2 hits on offense that included a double against the Vikings.
