Dimitri was just what the doctor ordered as the senior righty tossed a complete game 6-hitter against No. 18 UC San Diego in last Friday's 8-2 win, fanning 11 Tritons without issuing a single walk.

The Covina native tossed 115 pitches on the day, geting stronger as the game progressed.  After fanning one batter in all but one of the first 7 innings, De la Fuente finished with 5 strikeouts over the final 2 innings of work, putting a fitting exclamation point on his performance that put a halt on a 5-game skid, and started a 3-game winning streak over the Tritons.
