Five-time All-American senior Chanel Parker began her final competition season the way she has run during her career, posting a provisional qualifying time in 55 meter hurdles as CSUDH kicked off its 2012 indoor track and field season at the Run For the Dream Invitational, hosted by Fresno State at the Save Mart Center.

Parker won her heat in a time of 8.02, well below the 8.38 needed to post a "B" mark, and was the lone DII hurdler to make the final race.  Parker then posted a 5th place finish in the finals in a time of 8.03.
