Senior guard/forward Zareh Zargaryan was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association’s (CCAA) men's basketball Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 17-23, it was announced on Monday.
Zargaryan, a senior from Glendale, Calif., led the Toros to a pair of victories over Sonoma State and No. 20 Humboldt State over the weekend. The two wins gave Cal State Dominguez Hills sole possession of first place in the CCAA and increased its winning streak to nine games.
Zargaryan averaged 17.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals. He connected on 54.5 percent (12-for-22) of his field goal attempts and was 11 of 13 (84.9 percent) from the foul line.
