Zargaryan was key in the Toros' win over top-ranked and defending NCAA National Champion Cal Poly Pomona on Friday, scoring a career high 21 points in just 27 minutes of play.

After scoring just one point in the first half, Zargaryan exploded for 18 in the second half, including all 10 in a 10-0 run that got CSUDH to within 7 points after trailing by as much as 17 in the second half,

He finished with a near-perfect 9-of-10 from the foul line and pulled down 10 boards as well to give him the game's lone double-double as the Toros toppled a top-ranked team for the first time in the program's history.
