Hicks was instrumental in helping the Toros split their northern California series last weekend.

The true freshman led all players in Friday night's 3-1 loss at Chico State, putting away 18 balls while contributing 13 digs, good for second-highest on the team.

The next night at CS Stanislaus, Hicks tied for the team high with 20 kills as CSUDH won an epic five-set battle after holding off the hosts who took sets three and four to force a deciding fifth set.

The Wildomar native averaged 19 kills and 10 digs, also contributing 2 solo blocks and chipping in with 2 block assists as the Toros picked up their second win of the year.
