The Thousand Oaks native had an historic weekend in a 5-0 win over Cal State L.A. as Montgomery posted the fifth no-hitter for the Toros baseball program and the first in ten years.

In the no-hitter, Montgomery fanned five batters and allowed only three walks, facing three straight batters in three straight innings to give the Golden Eagles only four bases on the day.

Prior to the no-hitter, Montgomery started in action against the Concordia University-Irvine Eagles, making his three innings count as he struck out the first two batters of the game and gave up only two hits in an 0-11 loss.
