Dickerson again played as huge as his 6’4 frame would allow, posting 2 shutouts in two wins over Cal State East Bay and UC San Diego last weekend that clinched the fourth and final berth into next week’s CCAA Tournament.
The two shutouts, the eighth and ninth on the year and third- and fourth-consecutive for the redshirt freshman, gave the Toros their eighth-consecutive win on the year, the longest win streak in the league to close the regular season.
In the win over the Pioneers, Dickerson made 3 saves in blanking CSUEB to give the Toros the final berth, and followed that effort with 4 saves in the regular season finale over the Tritons to spoil UCSD’s senior day.
Overall, the Beaumont native played all 180 minutes in goal in helping the Toros punch their ticket to Turlock next week.
