Smith was key as the Toros split a pair of CCAA games to close out 2008, and open 2009. Smith scored 25 points on 7-of-17 shooting from the floor, including a game-high 14 points in Saturday's win at UC San Diego, in which he also pulled down 6 boards in the victory.
