Toros Baseball Set to Take on Alumni as Past Meets Present

CARSON, Calif. -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team is calling all alumni for a shot at bragging rights in the 22nd Annual Robert Wing Memorial Alumni Game set for February 14. With an alumni class of 547 letter-winners dating back to 1971, head coach Murphy Su'a is putting out the welcome mat for another great game.

In 2009 it appeared that youth would trump experience as the '09 Toro squad entered the ninth with a 3-2 lead, started by Carlos Leyva's home run to open the contest.

After stealing second base, current assistant coach Cedric Gilmore set up for his 180-foot run home as a Cody Puckett hard single drove him in to tie the game, where it ended in a draw due to darkness.

2010 Alumni Game Schedule of Activities:
9:00am - Registration & Continental Breakfast
9:45am - Alumni Batting Practice
10:40am - Home Run Derby
11:40am - Pregame Infield/Outfield
12:15pm - Alumni Game First Pitch (Alumni Home Team)
BBQ for Alumni and family immediately following the game
