Toros Hold Steady in Both Men's and Women's NCAA Region Polls

Carson, CA -- Both Cal State Dominguez Hills basketball ships held steady this week in the latest NCAA West Region polls, with the men's team staying at No. 2 in the region and the women's squad holding firm at No. 6, it was announced today by the NCAA.

Peaking at the right time, the men's squad has won six-consecutive games and holds a one-game lead with two games to play in the CCAA, a conference which would earn just two berths if the NCAA postseason started today, with No. 3 seeded Cal Poly Pomona the only other conference school in the top 8.

BYU-Hawai'i kept its hold on the top spot, with Central and Western Washington following the Broncos, and Seattle Pacific, St. Martin's, Chaminade, UC San Diego and CS San Bernardino rounding out the top 10.

On the women's side, Seattle Pacific leapt into the top spot over Alaska Anchorage, which fell to No. 3 in the West.  CCAA regular season champion UC San Diego remained at No. 2, with Humboldt State and Western Washington positioned ahead of the Toros, who have won four-straight themselves.  Northwest Nazarene, Cal Poly Pomona, Montana State Billings and Chico State round out the top 10.
