Baseball Trains Like the Pros With Athletes' Performance at the Home Depot Center

CARSON, Calif. -- Founded in 1999 on the campus of Arizona State University, Athletes' Performance (AP) offers premier athletic training for the elite athlete.  With one of three facilities located on the Home Depot Center, the Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team recently took advantage of a unique opportunity to take part in world-class athletic training.

In the midst of their winter workouts, the baseball team has been training at the facility for the past few weeks, looking for overall improvement.

"We are in the process of improving everything we do in the baseball program including conditioning, power, speed and strength", said an excited head coach Murphy Su'a.

"With the help of Athletes' Performance we think we can help improve the ability on the field greatly with their workout and teaching techniques. These are the same techniques Chase Utley (Philies), Nomar Garciaparra (A's), and other world-champion athletes use."

Part of the training encompasses improving weight, flexibility, strength and speed to help the team reach their goals as athletes.

Another key aspect of the training helps to maximize the student-athletes performance while decreasing the potential for injury whether in practice or a game.

"We are trying to mirror the work ethic of the professionals and training to improve to their level", closed out Su'a.

Aside from many MLB players, AP also trains many NFL athletes, national soccer teams and other athletes.
