Carson, CA -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills soccer programs are pleased to announce the results for the 16th Annual Travis Jackson 6-A-Side Boys and Girls Soccer Tournament, which took place the weekend of June 28 and 29 on the campus of Cal State Dominguez Hills.
This tournament, formerly known as the "South Bay 6-A-Side" when hosted by South Torrance High School, was renamed in 2001after the passing of Travis Jackson in 2000. Jackson, a 1999 graduate of South Torrance where he was an All-CIF Goal Keeper for the Spartans, attended L.A. Harbor Junior College and was on track to transfer to Cal State Dominguez Hills when his life tragically was taken in a car accident.
The 6-A-SIDE tournament is a fun and high-scoring event, enjoyed by players, coaches and parents alike. The spirited atmosphere of the tournament is geared toward mirroring the way Travis lived his life.
