Garcia & Harper Lead Toros to CCAA Player/Pitcher of the Week Sweep

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Cal State Dominguez Hills senior outfielder Katie Garcia (left) has been named the Worth/California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Softball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 1-7, while freshman teammate Lauren Harper was named the Pitcher of the Week, it was announced on Monday by the CCAA Office.

Mizuno Best of the West Tournament Canceled

TURLOCK, Calif. -- Due to more downfall in the Turlock area, the Mizuno Best of the West Tournament has been canceled. The tournament was scheduled to resume on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. after Saturday's cancellation, but after delaying the start on Sunday for an hour, tournament officials, umpires, grounds crew and coaches deemed that fields would be unsafe to play on.
